  A college is a place where students not only learn about their chosen courses, but also can have the opportunity to be a part of great community initiatives, organizations, and much more. Students at the University of Miami are given numerous opportunities to be a part of something big and meaningful. The activities, organizations, and initiatives a student chooses to be a part of tell a lot about that student and of course helps in building their character. Drew Cheskin , an undergraduate student of the University of Miami on the Dean’s List, is a student that has looked for opportunities to help others. He has been part of some amazing initiatives and organizations. For example, Drew Cheskin helped organize with an officer of the University of the Miami police department an on-campus two-week blood drive for Oneblood.org. He helped One Bloodcollect blood, plasma, and platelets for the benefit of patients suffering from COVID-19and for children suffering from cancer.
